Everyone loves that “just got off of the beach” hair but unless you live near the shore, it’s hard to achieve that look every day! When my hair is on the shorter side, beach waves are my favorite, it brings my hair to life without having to try too hard. For years I have tried to perfect the hairstyle and I have finally mastered it thanks to Not Your Mother’s Beach Babe sea salt spray! I love this spray so much that I have 2, a full-sized for the bathroom and a travel sized to keep in my purse! The spray nozzle makes it so much easier to spray in my hair and it smells so beachy good, like tropical bananas! According to Not Your Mother’s website, “Beach Babe spray is infused with sea salt and sea kelp for texture, separation and body. Aloe extract protects the hair against dryness, soothes hair from sun exposure & hydrates to restore softness. This soft waves spray was made for the sexy, tousled look you love with the softness, shine and health you want.”
To achieve those coveted beach waves, I begin by curling my hair away from my face with a 1 inch curling wand. Pro Tip: To help create the wavy and messy look, curl different widths of hair each time you wrap around the barrel. Once all of my hair has been curled I wait a few minutes for all of my new curls to cool. Letting your curls cool is key, especially for those with hair that doesn’t hold curl easily! I then spray Not Your Mothers Beach Babe sea salt spray on the bottom half of my hair only!! This is important because spritzing your roots with this texturizing spray will make your hair look frizzy and dirty! After spraying the texturizing spray, I like to scrunch my hair up with my hands and tussle it around a little.
Not Your Mother’s Beach Babe sea salt spray is extremely budget friendly at $4-$7 depending on the store and the 8oz of product lasts a long time, even with every day use! It’s such a great product, it was the 2016 Allure Beast of Beauty winner!
